By now the fact that Harry Knowles posted a delicious HD version of Kerry Conran’s presentation video for the abandoned Paramount is old news. My reason for posting about it again is that I want to make sure that those who are interested in seeing more John Carter have an easy way to go to all the site that have picked up the Conran video and post comments there. Remember that someday, guaranteed, some Hollywood producer is going to be pitching more John Carter to studio execs, who will have their marketing people go online and check out the chatter. This video, and the comments posted in response to it, will be a significant piece of the puzzle.
Far be it from me to try and control what people say — (!!) — but I will offer the following thought. It’s not about lamenting or saying that Conran’s would have been better than Stanton’s version, it’s just about saying words to the effect that “this shows there’s great potential in the Barsoom franchise” …. and how nice it would be to see more. I’m just sayin’……
